International Rescue Committee Youth Connections (Golden Bear)

Location: San Francisco Marina
Description: nternational Rescue Committee supports refugee youth across the Bay Area. Many of these kids are trying to adapt to their new environment and are healing from traumatic events in leaving their home countries, sometimes without their families. The Youth Connections provides a community and fun events to get to know the Bay Area.

Description: Our graduation event for the students...pot luck at dock, kyaks and inflatable, then both boats go out after we give out certificates. Hope to have a judge or two there... Show up early to get the kyaks, inflatble and food ready.... Always a moving experience.

NIGHT OVERBOARD PRACTICE (Benjamin Walters)

Location: Berkeley Marina
Description: A night overboard drill for certification. Only sign up if you are already day mob certified. We go over the systems at dock for an hour or so, then out to live drill as the sun sets. Bring your dinner. Coffee and snacks will be on board. Remember, you have to have a light on your life vest for all night sails.
