Description: Monthly sail with students from Contra Costa County's Orin Allen Youth Rehabilitation Facility (OAYRF). 08:30 Crew report and prep for the day 09:00 Students arrive; short classroom session and then head out. 15:00 Return to slip / debrief / store the boat. ~15:30 Departure. I'll bring sandwiches for the students and crew--please advise of any dietary restrictions. If you're inclined (but not required), bring along snacks, cookies to share.

First Aid/ CPR training

Location: Golden Gate Yacht Club 1 Yacht Rd, San Francisco, CA 94123
Description: CPR/First Aid training required for certification. Free to BWF volunteers. PLEASE NOTE: This certification will be blended learning, meaning that the video and "lecture" portion will be done online at your own time and only the skills portion will be done in-person. Once six people sign up you will be sent a link from ARC American Red Cross (email may be addressed from Salesforce) Online portion must be complete before skills session. Night MOB Practice (Benjamin Walters)

Description: This will be a night live MOB drill, our most challenging skill. Please do not sign up if you are not already certified or very close to it and planning on participating in our probation night sails in the future. Since we take students out at night, this is vital for our night sails...and perhaps the most fun of all of our practices. Few other sailors have done this. Bring your dinner, full foul weather gear and a flash light. Coffee and snacks will be on board.

Description: Gaslight Charters is offering their reproduction of a scow schooner ("Gaslght") in Richmond for a history sail for our students with some hands-on work. 72 foot vessel so plenty of room for Blue Water people as well as the kids. You and your mentee will be familiarized with the vessel to assist on this sail. Leaving from Richmond, details later.
